What this extension does

Calendar from Selection reads text you highlight on web pages, extracts possible event details, and creates events in the Google Calendar you choose.

Data we collect

Selected text — processed locally to detect title, date, time, and location.
Google account access — via OAuth to list calendars and create events you request.
Extension settings — default calendar choice, usage count, and optional license status (if you choose to activate one) stored in Chrome sync storage.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data.
We do not track browsing history beyond the text you explicitly select.
We do not store selected text on our servers.

Third-party services

Google Calendar API — to list calendars and create events (you explicitly authorize access).
Buy Me a Coffee — if you voluntarily support the developer via the occasional “buy me a coffee” message in the extension, payments and processing are handled entirely by buymeacoffee.com. The extension only opens the link in your browser.

Data retention

All settings, usage counts, and any license information remain only in your browser (Chrome sync storage) until you uninstall the extension or clear its data. Selected text is processed locally and kept only in short-lived session storage for the duration of the create flow.
